Rahul Gandhi should answer on 40-year OROP delay

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was never seen visiting and consoling the family members of those army personnel who laid down their lives falling prey to the bullets of enemy along Line of Control (LOC) and fighting terrorist in the state of Jammu and Kashmir recently. But his deafening reactions questioning the encounter of 8 activists of outlawed SIMI in Bhopal were heard by one and all.
Rahul Gandhi did not for once salute the constable Rama Shankar Yadav who sacrificed his life in Bhopal Central Jail. The Congress leader by all indications smelt political opportunity in the alleged suicide by ex-serviceman Ram Kishan Grewal over One Rank One Pension (OROP). Rahul Gandhi played to the gallery throughout the day, trying to cash in on his detainment by the Delhi Police.
The Congress MP went to the extent of according Grewal the status of martyr with the sole objective of making political gains. This is not all, Rahul Gandhi attended Grewal’s cremation. While enacting all the drama over the suicide by Grewal, Rahul Gandhi slammed the Central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what he called “his failure” to implement the OROP, as if he was desperately looking for an opportunity to target the PM.
What Rahul Gandhi conveniently chose to turn a blind eye to was the Twitter which was awash with reactions from ex-army personnel expressing satisfaction with the implementation of the OROP by the NDA government led by PM Modi.
